I Want Someone Who Wants Someone Like Me

I just want a gentleman. Someone to sweep in and knock me off my feet. To come in and be my very best friend. To love me for my quirks and my bad habits and my faults, as well as my admirable qualities. I want someone who will laugh at my jokes even when they aren't that funny. Someone who will tease me but never take it too far. Someone who will hold me when I cry during movies. And who will hold me when I cry during hard times. I want someone who will sing along to the radio with me. Who will go on drives with me and let me crank the music up and roll the windows down. Someone who appreciates me. Who treats me right. Who fits in with my family and loves them as their own. I want someone my brothers can look up too. Someone my sisters feel comfortable with. Someone who respects my father and appreciates my mother just simply because they are where I came from. I want someone who has a testimony of the Savior. Someone who believes in Jesus Christ and will raise our children to do s

People Are What Matters

To steal a line from my favorite show of all time Grey's Anatomy, "People are what matters." Judge me all you want for loving that show, I don't really care. Meredith Grey is a character I dind myself relating to at times and I love it. As lame as it may be, there are so many important lessons that I have learned from Grey's and this is one of them. "People are what matters." I have some pretty great people in my life.  All of a sudden though, I feel like everyone is doing their own amazing thing, and I am once again getting left behind. Sitting on the sidelines. Cheering them on. Waiting for my turn to be put in the game. SO happy for them, but tired of being left alone. But here's another thing I have learned...it's not whether you win or loose it's how you play the game. Which isn't always the truth but it is most of the time. "Life is not a spectator sport. Win, lose or draw, the game is in prog

Once

Once there was a girl who was tired of school. She was tired of feeling frustrated, especially with classes and especially with people. And she had zero motivation to do anything besides be an adventurer. She had thoughts in her head that she wanted to say to people, that she probably never would, and it's fine because some of them should definitely stay in her head.. And places that she wanted to see with her very own eyes, that she might not ever see. But her backyard is pretty beautiful and she could appreciate that too! Regardless of all of that. Regardless of the fact that sometimes she was lonely and sometimes she was filled with pure joy. Regardless of the fact that she was tired of being on the team, or not knowing some of the answers, or stressing over things that don't matter. Regardless of all of that, and so much more, she couldn't help but hope that some day she would make a difference. Someday she will change lives. Someday she will create something be

Dear ___________, Thanks For Teaching Me.

Dear Friend, Thanks for teaching me that I am stronger than I think. And that it is okay to take walls down. That it's good to give people second chances. But it's also okay to stand up for what you deserve. -K Dear Kindred Soul, Thanks for teaching me that life happens when you least expect it. That the best way to live is fully, and that there are people that understand everything going on around me. -K Dear Brown Eyes, Thanks for teaching me that I will do ANYTHING and drop ANYTHING for those I love. That with everything I do, I am all in! That to be loved by me is kind of a special thing and that I have a lot to give. Thanks for teaching me that sometimes that means putting my own feelings to the side a little bit, so that I can help those I love.  -K Dear EpicWin, Thanks for teaching me how to be brave. For teaching me that a different path doesn't mean a wrong path. That picking yourself up and moving forward is one of the best feeli
